the Lords Commissioners of Her Majesty's Treasury your letter of the 15th
inst respecting
the amount of Passage Allowance
to be granted to the Revd Stanton,
appointed Chaplain
of Hong Kong
I am directed
by their Lordships to acquaint you, for the Lord Bishop of London, that
on being furnished with the information
that the Rate of Passage Allowance assigned for Clergyman proceeding to the Australian Settlements
by the
regulations of his Lordship's department, is £150, their Lordships apprehend this sum
will be
